Auto-saves as you type Β· exports into the note body.

How to use it βœ•

  • Move around: right-click + drag to pan Β· scroll to zoom.
  • Select many: left-drag a box around concepts, Shift/Ctrl-click to add or remove individual ones, or Ctrl+A for all.
  • Delete the selection: press Del (works on one or many). Esc clears the selection.
  • Add a concept: double-click empty space, then type its name.
  • Branch it: hover a concept β†’ click the blue + for a child below, or drag the + outward to place the branch in any direction (drop on empty space = new concept; drop on another concept = link to it).
  • Rename: double-click a concept (click off to save).
  • Link two existing ones: drag a concept on top of another β€” it glows green, then connects.
  • Change a link's type: click the line itself to cycle made-of β†’ is-a β†’ depends-on (right-click the line to pick one or delete it).
  • Add a definition: select one concept β†’ a panel opens on the right. Type its definition/notes (exports into its Obsidian note). A blue dot marks concepts that have notes.
  • First principle: right-click a concept (or use the panel) β†’ β˜… Mark as first principle to flag a true bottom-of-the-branch idea (gold border).
  • Collapse a branch: right-click a concept with children β†’ Collapse to fold its subtree (double border = collapsed). Expand the same way.
  • Find: Ctrl+F β†’ type to highlight & jump between concepts (Enter = next).
  • Separate maps (tabs): the tab bar up top β€” + makes a new map, double-click a tab to rename it, βœ• deletes it. Each tab is its own ontology.
  • Menu (☰, top-left): Save / Load .json, Share as link (copies a URL that contains the whole map β€” open it anywhere or send it, no account needed), Export to Obsidian, and these instructions.
  • View (bottom-right): zoom Β±, β€’ Fit frames everything, ⊞ Tidy auto-arranges.
  • More options: right-click anything for the full menu.
  • Undo/redo: Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Y (per map).
  • Everything auto-saves. Use Export to Obsidian when ready.
